Who Is A God-Leader & Where Are They?
Ye know that ye were gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. (1 Cor. 12:2)
In the 1st Epistle of Paul to the Corinthians, chapter 12:2, he said the gentiles were led unto the dumb idols.
What you know about God today, was possible because someone first led you – This often starts from the family – parents, who would later take you to their church or place of worship, depending on their faith.
This is how important the role of parents are in the faith of a child. They are the first point of contact to the child in the knowledge of God. This is why God instructed the Israelites in Deut. 11:19 and Deut. 6:7 to constantly teach their children about the law of God, when they are at home, when they are walking along the road, when they lie down or when they get up.
It is a deliberately calculated orchestration that the devil starts his war against God from the family line. This is because He knows the family is the first bedrock of the faith of a person. How does the enemy of our salvation do this? He wants to make sure that there is nothing like family in the first place – so he tells young men and women ‘go ahead and corpulate. You don’t need God’s approval to do this’.
That’s exactly the same thing he did to the first family in the garden of Eden – ‘you don’t need God’s approval on this, go ahead and eat the fruit; there’s something God is hiding from you’.
If the devil succeeds in this first scheme, gradually, he has started corrupting the foundation. Morals beget morals and high moral standards require equivalent moral principles. So when you become a parent and you should be correcting your child/children and instructing them in the way of chastity, purity and holiness, the accuser of the brethren tells you – when you were his/her age, you already had 20 body counts. At that instance, you are robbed of the authority and the leadership position that God has placed you because you have become powerless to correct your children as a family head/leader in right living based on the reason your obedience was first of all incomplete, so how would you now correct disobedience? (2 Cor. 10:6).
Many wars the devil is fighting, he is doing so against families and the institution of marriage which God formed. So when he enters the family to cause divisions, hatred and disunity, separations, divorce, miscarriages, stillbirths, deaths and even fight against the establishment of the institution through some of the above means and others like gay marriages, abortions, lesbianism, same-sex marriages, ill-manners and materialism among modern-day generations – one of the major causes of no or late marriages; they are some of the tools the devil is currently deploying to permeate his war against the first bedrock and the foundational knowledge of God.
So you are a minister and an evangelist to the infants in your home. The level of God you have is what you can teach them and it is expected of you to be the the first person to lead them to God as a parent.
When the parents don’t know God, who shall lead them to God?
This is where you come in, oh evangelist, minster, pastor, man of God and you that work in the vineyard of God, to lead both parents and children to God and those who have derailed or strayed, to lead back, to encourage the weary, strengthen the weak and assure them of the abundant love of God.
Where are the God Leaders then?
They are everywhere and everybody is expected to be one. Be you a parent, teacher, doctor, lawyer, minister, banker, politician or whatever you do in the field of human endeavor, you are expected to be a God Leader by the way you live, leading people back to God. The actions you take or don’t take can lead people back to God, lead them away from Him, or make them remain passive. So what are you currently doing that is drawing people to God? Are you a God Leader? Do you still need to be led back yourself and preached to over and over again after many years of knowing God or you are leading people to God in your domain, domicile and professional environment?
The Bible says the harvest is plenty but the labourers are few. (Matthew 9:37; Lk 10:2). Therefore God needs you in His vineyard. You can work in the vineyard from wherever you are. Just bear the light of Christ that sets you apart.
Do not think everybody knows this already, or this is too simple a message to pass across. The simple thing you think everybody knows is not always so. So go ahead and be a leader to someone out there today.
