Sunnypraise Adoga – Still Praising You (Full Album Download)
“Still Praising You” is the newest album from Sunnypraise Adoga. “Still Praising You”, a sophomore from Adoga drops after his debut, “Spirit of Victory,” which was released in 2020.
The new release comprises beautiful inspirational tunes that carry edifying messages for the body of Christ and for the church’s edification.
“Still Praising You” tells a beautiful story from the first track to the last.
The album opens with “I Trust in You”, a song laced with declarations of faith and trust. One that admonishes and stirs the listener to a life of totalitarian belief and hope in God, a beckon to a life of trust in His every singular word, which never drops to the ground unfulfilled.
It is the God whom we know and the same one with whom we enjoy an unquantifiable relationship that we can solemnly make bold to trust. Track 2 gives a picture of the ‘Ever Living One’. It is not startling that people lose hope in whom or what they trust. Nothing more is expected when such trust is committed to mere humans or the works of men, which neither live nor breathe. Such is not the nature of our God. We serve an Ever Living God who knows our every need, feels our every pain, and sees our every tear. So why shall we not trust in the one who speaks and does what He utters? The God who will not let an iota of His word fall to the ground without every bit of fulfillment.
Track 3, the title track, taken from Psalm 84:4, is a blessing on the dwellers of God’s house. The praise of God shall not depart from their lips. Now, if we know whom we have believed and are bold to trust in His unfailing word and promises, then we can confidently dwell in His house; so shall the praise of our God never cease from our lips. Come rain, come sunshine, we will be praising Him. We will praise Him not just because of what we can get from Him but also because of who He is to us. We know Him, and we believe and trust in Him.
In “We Give You All the Praise”, we are praising God because we know who He is. We know that He is good, and He has done marvelous things for us. Hence, we praise Him with all of the praise we’ve got, withholding nothing.
Track 5 posits before the listener another clarion call for praise of our Father. We are thanking Him from the place of worship because of what He has done for us and how He has amazed, dazzled, and showered us with immeasurable blessings and unquantifiable favours.
“Naked Truth” presents the story of the crucifixion of one descent from the Godhead. Though He had done no wrong and there had been no perjury in His mouth, He died not for His offence, sin or misdemeanor. It was unthinkable for the creator to die for the creature, but it was a naked truth that behoves us with concise reflection and reminiscence of this sacrifice, that we may appreciate the gravity and enormousness of such a love beyond any other, one from the creator Himself to the created.
In track 7 (Name Above All Names), we find in Jesus a Name that is above all other names. Therefore, God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:9-11). One who stripped Himself of all honour, splendour and glory to die for sinful humanity, the same, has been given a name that is above all names. You can call on that name and He will answer.
God is our “Way Maker”. He is the One who stands in for us, who defends us, who protects us, who provides for us. When every hope seems to be lost, He is the only one we can trust and hope in. He has been a ‘Way Maker’ from the times of old and even now, He has not changed. This is the message of track 8.
“Amazing Love” (track 9) presents us with a message of how amazing the love of the Father is. He loved us even while we were yet sinners (Romans 5:8). And when we never cared or reciprocated His love for us, He still loved us. Isn’t such love amazing? Not only that He loved the world, He sent His only begotten son to die for the same ones who continually offended Him so that they may be saved and not die for the sins that they have committed. He bundled the sins of the offender and laid them upon the innocent. And not just anyone, but His only begotten Son. If we would reminisce on the gravity of the love of the Father for us, we would do our best not to grieve His heart and crucify His beloved Son again and again.
Now the King of glory is seated on the throne. After having emptied Himself of all, by taking the form of a servant (Philippians 2:7), He has been highly exalted; now He is seated on the throne. While His killers thought they were putting an end to His existence, they never knew the mind of God. The same One who fell and died is now risen above, seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. This is the message of track 10 (Seated on the Throne).
One of the beauties of heaven is the heavenly ‘Hallelujahs’. Such is the song that the angels sing. While Christ is seated on the throne, the angels are singing ‘Hallelujah’ to Him. We are joining in one mighty chorus as we praise the triune God, even here below. Because the Lord God Omnipotent reigns, we praise Him with our Hallelujah song. This is track 11: Hallelujah!
In “Osuba” (track 12), we are giving God the same praise that we have been giving, because He is worthy. The miracle worker deserves our continual praise. He is invisible, but his works are eminently visible. Bring forth the praise! Pour it out in one harmonious chorus to the King of Glory. Our God, the worthy One, deserves even more praise.
In track 13, we continue in the praise of God with the decision to lift Him high because He is God and He is good. For all that He has done, we will lift Him high.
In “Lines are Fallen for Me” (track 14), we hear a powerful message and faith decree that transcends the visible evidence of this world. Because we have the mind of Christ and are seated in heavenly places with Him, we see and think just like Him. “Lines are Fallen for Me”. If you believe it, you can decree it, and then you can grasp it. On this mountain, we fear no giants, for greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4).
In the final track, we see a decision by a determined mind to continue to praise God. This is because he knows his purpose and what he was created to do. He is not praising just because of what he could get out of it, but in so doing, he is fulfilling his purpose of being. Because the determined soul was created to praise, he finds something missing when he does not. There is a burning fire in his heart to praise, praise, praise, and not cease.
