He canceled the record of charges against us and nailed it to the cross. – Colossians 2:14
At the foot of the cross, pride dies, sin loses power, and grace flows freely.
Bring your troubles, your stories, sorries and worries to the foot of the cross. Lay them down before the blessed Saviour. They are too heavy for you and their weights weigh you down. The Lord says you can be free at the foot of the cross. Shoulder His yoke and learn from Him for His yoke is easy and His burden is light. (Matthew 11:29)
1 Corinthians 1:18 declares: ‘The message of the cross is the power of God to us who are being saved.’ Lay your burdens down today at the cross—it’s where shame ends and freedom begins.
At the foot of the cross, you can crucify all worldly and fleshly desires. It is where corrupt mortal desires pave way for the spiritual and the boast in the things of this world is crucified for the eternal hope we have in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 6:14)
The message of the cross and the things thereof may possess no comeliness to the world, but for those who are being saved, it is the power of God. (Isaiah 53:5; 1 Cor. 1:18).
When Jesus said ‘It is finished’ in John 19:30, he nailed all the accusations that stood against us, all the lies of the enemy, all works of the flesh and everything that so easily sticks and the condemnation that stood against us to the cross.
Now drop them at the cross for the finished work of Christ has saved you.
